J.E.Borgen’s first album started out as a project in the field of music business.  Studying MB and songwriting at Berklee College of Music at the time, Borgen decided to take a handful of songs he wrote while at school and head into the studio to learn about the label side of the industry. Using his music as the guinea pig for his experience, what he found was a passion for writing, singing, and ultimately performing.

Working with good friend and successful producer/engineer John Mailloux (Dispatch, State Radio, Hiker) and the talents of studio musicians George Correia and Jason Medieros, J.E.Borgen pieced together ten Folk-Rock songs that transpired into the album “Outside.  In the end, the overwhelming response from Outside was the springboard that launched Borgen on his journey as a singer/songwriter.
